ManiaDrive - an arcade car game for Ubuntu

Today I will show you a nice game for Ubuntu, it's called ManiaDrive and it's based on the great game of Nadeo Studio. Let me tell you in a few words what the game is about...

In ManiaDrive you have two difficulty levels, begginer and pro each one divided into some circuits. The aim of the game is to unlock all the circuits based on how good is your time. You can also play on online circuits and post your scores.

In ManiaDrive you have: Complex car physics, Challenging "story mode", LAN and Internet mode, Live scores, Track editor, Dedicated server with HTTP interface, More than 30 blocks - Full soundtrack.




How to install ManiaDrive:
1) Download this .deb file (link provided by GetDeb.net)
2) Download this .deb file (link provided by GetDeb.net)
3) Install the deb packages in the order above
4) Run the game (Applications > Games > ManiaDrive)

  5. @Anonymous II: in my view it has become a bad habit of some to differentiate between Ubuntu and Linux without reason. Therefore we have "Ubuntu applications", "Games for Ubuntu" and so on, when few if any of the suggested applications are developed by the Ubuntu team. Why talk about a Ubuntu applications when it has zero to with Ubuntu by itself but all to do with Linux as a whole?

    I understand that this is "Club Ubuntu", but while this might be unintentional it would be better to show more respect for the community as a whole by promoting Linux.

  12. I had stumbled upon this site and I would say that this is so cool. I love racing cars. Have some of the Download Games in my console, and when I start playing, I can't stop until I beat the game:)
